We spent two days in the hospital and came home on 8/24.

We had lots of snuggles with a very sleepy baby.

We’ve been trying to get out a little every day to go for a walk around the neighborhood. Jackson is very protective and usually walks right next to the stroller.

Mimi came to visit for a week and we are so grateful for the help! Grampy also came for the weekend. We miss them!!

Towards the end of the second week, he has been more alert and awake. He got suited up to watch his first Michigan game.

It has been a big adjustment, but Conor is a loving brother and likes to give Colin pats and kisses. I am so proud of what a good big brother he is already.

Colin looks much less pudgy than he did in the hospital – he lost almost a pound after birth but is almost back to his birth weight. We are working on feeding – he is not such a fan of latching on right now but we are working hard on it. He is eating mostly pumped milk for now until we see if he can get on board with nursing. He loves car rides, stroller walks, and being worn in a sling or wrap.

Colin George Carmody arrived on 8/22/16 at 12:14pm via c-section. 8 pounds, 14 ounces, 20 inches long. A peanut compared to his brother! Everything went smoothly, Colin needed a little time in the “NEST” (Newborn Stabilization and Treatment) but we managed to avoid any NICU time.

Conor met his brother that evening.

Welcome to our family little guy 🙂

It was a great summer, waiting for baby brother’s arrival.

We had a great visit from Mimi, Aunt Kelly, Madeline and Clara.

We watched the Olympics and found the countries on the Globe. We took one last outing as a family of 3, 2 days before Colin’s arrival. We visited the Michigan Science Center and Third Man Records.
